OC surf & jetty/ inlet: What’s in your bag now?

Reading & hearing of mixed sized bass & blues intermittently. Plan on taking advantage of a small & very valuable time window this weekend. Don’t have much time to pack. What are must haves for the plug bag now? What are you throwing?

I’ve been hearing of bunker & just now some smaller bait. Also, some bass on bugs. W/ presence of blues, prolly not using a teaser.

Love to hear what’s working for you folks please.

Thanks in advance!

JD

My guess would be:

  • Big pencils
  • Poppers, e.g. SS floating & sinking in white and yellow & Tsunami talking popper in bunker & wonder bread
  • Medium versatile wood swimmer like BM Jr in white and yellow over white
  • SP minnows in small and medium in black (predawn), bone and shine
  • Kettle creek paddle tails in white w/ jig headsYellow over white and black SS darter
  • Bucktails
  • Kast master & Hopkins

What am I missing?

This is what’s in my bag right now.
bucktails-white- few different sizes

mambo minnow- couple different colors

hydro pencil-bone

hydro minnow-bone

small doc spook-white

KVD rocket Shad -white -1/2 oz jig head

and I did have a smoky joe loaded red fin but the bass broke it in half.

For dayttime fishing your list should have you covered.

What would you pack differently for low light or nighttime?

 Thanks!

Small sluggo teaser worked this evening.

Smallish fish but it saved from the skunk.

Id lose the poppers and add another metal lip, a glider, and a big soft plastic on a swimbait hook.

I cant say what's in my bag because it changes every trip depending on wind and tide. I can say that an assortment of bucktails and 2 or 3 metals never leave the bag.
