Dragged Dad out

My dad's gone (2001) but when I was a kid, he took me fishing a lot.

After he retired, it was my turn to take him fishing a lot.

We would camp down in Nickerson Sate Park for long weekends in late summer/early fall.

What I find funny is I have friends and relatives that fish some, but I don't ruin their fish stories because they don't have many.

I have fish stories that happen almost every year, and they never stop coming!

Heck, some don't even involve fish at all, like seeing a river otter in Wayland, MA last year, or seeing a osprey/eagle aerial dogfight a few years back. or seeing what was probably the largest turtle I've ever seen (live or in pictures).

Isn't it amazing how something as simple as fishing can life a person's spirits and bring back that fire in their heart?
