flylikabird
Nice fish..... I hope he released it considering the state of Wild Striped Bass are in. Pretty cool that it looks like she hit what looks like a pencil. Guessing from the photo that fish didn't make it.....dorsal fin is down. Once again....nice fish. Frede
Congrats to Bobby. When I saw the video of this fish and was like man I would love catch one that size....then I thought could I even get it on my kayak. willcodfish 1 Salt air provides the levity needed for survival. MikeK
Great fish, but how can you accurately weigh that fish from a boga in a kayak? Some type of cradle setup? Cant see standing in the yak to hoist vertically and certainly hope that was not done fron a fish handling/mortality standpoint.
cheech
Fish of a lifetime! If that cow makes it up the Hudson I’ll have a shot at it on Saturday. Tis better to remain silent and thought the fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Highlander1
Bogas are very accurate, this might be the first 50 I've seen caught in NJ in March on a plug. Very unusual, although with bunker pouring into the bay its entirely realistic. Congrats on a great fish. MikeK
Not doubting the accuracy of a boga. Catching that fish in an impressive feat, standing up to weigh it in a kayak is also challenging. Knew there was some story behind it. Lucky he was with friends. Thanks Ksong.

Popular Post Oakman
I'll say it, that fish should have never come out of the water, much less been hung from the jaw on a boga. If you're gonna target pre spawn fish at least have the decency to put the fish's well being before your ego.
