58 lb striper on kayak

Nice fish.....

I hope he released it considering the state of Wild Striped Bass are in. 

Pretty cool that it looks like she hit  what looks like a pencil. 

Guessing from the photo that fish didn't make it.....dorsal fin is down.  

Once again....nice fish.

Great fish, but how can you accurately weigh that fish from a boga in a kayak?  Some type of cradle setup?  Cant see standing in the yak to hoist vertically and certainly hope that was not done fron a fish handling/mortality standpoint.

Here is what Bobby said when I asked:

Bogas are very accurate, this might be the first 50 I've seen caught in NJ in March on a plug. Very unusual, although with bunker pouring into the bay its entirely realistic. Congrats on a great fish.
