Good day yesterday. 10: am , 5 Lakers in a half hour casting in close. Misting , strong wind , down side of a deep hole where it came up shallow. It was like Stripers in a rip. All the same size, 20” / 22” . The one for the grill had one 2 1/2” smelt in his belly. Only one fishing.

Monday I saw a guy w/ a skinny long laker, nothing like the FAT bruisers the first couple weeks.   Strange how fish were puking up smelt & shiners then, & now we have rats & scrawny lakers.

smelt have finished spawning on the shallow shoals and moved deeper. the fish gorging on them must of followed now we have the smaller skinnier fish left behind. time to look deeper for bigger fish
