Any word on the pier that suffered it;s latest damage from an Oct.,2019 Noreaster?

Is it opened ? Closed? Forgotten? (been closed since) Still trashed?

Any news at all?          Getting to be THAT time almost 2 years later.......................

There is nothing that I could find on the city's website other than the repair work went out to bid in 2018.  Don't know if that work ever began.

I lived down the street, fished it every day until I was 12, then I got a fly rod and they kicked me off so I fished off the rocks to the south of it (end of the beach), and around the other side down to below the girl scout camp. With of course the frequent trips sneaking into (and getting kicked out of) the CG base and Smith Pool. Great place to grow up and learn how to read water. 53 years later I still have a soft spot for the smell of a cup of seaworms and a pollock on a dropline.

Here are some live shots from the pier.  Mayors been too busy spending money on bike lanes that nobody uses.  Priorities...

When I was a lad there used to be kid sized amusement rides on the hill.  A roller coaster, tilt a whirl, and I think flying helicopters.
