He's good but not great. He's also banged up. Plus the running back munchin also got paid too much for all those fumbles. They'll find out soon enough the can't afford talent on the test of the team.

they valued the one year more than a specific amount of money...silly to me, as he simply isnt a good QB,  but its not like there are good QB's just floating around out there.

Imagine holding jerry jone's balls over the fire for that much ( 126 mill) guarenteed. While injured, coming off surgery....that's one hell of an agent!

Yeah. My thoughts exactly. Not many other much better options out there so they had to (over) pay for him just to keep mediocre.

Cowboys are, obviously, a better team with him at qb. Their issue is they cannot stop anyone from scoring. 9 wins prob wins this division this year.

dak is a great example of how teams get stuck. he isn't good enough to take them to the promise land, but good enough, compared to the QB talent in the league, that you're scared to let him go.

he's the safe chick.

similar situation washington was in,

I like Cousins, but not at the price he wanted.

Dak is good, but only if he has a good team around him

Football front offices need to play catch up on analytics,

the money they spend doesn't make a lot of sense to me at times.

most fans I know will say they'd invest in putting a quality O line together and they can make average skill players look good,

and good skill players look great.

that rarely translates to front office thinking

When the Eagles hired Andy Reid this was their thinking. They competed for 12 of his 14 years here. Granted they never won the SB, but they did contend and where a good to very good team.
He left and the OL has suffered. Injuries(no depth because of limited cap space)and crappy drafting kills every team.
