DT makes large pencils that are super easy to work and have a great durable finish. But last season I started tossing JBR pencils and they might be my new favorite

Cotton Cordell.

Inexpensive and very durable.

Also widely available.

Can’t really ask for more than those qualities.

Load the 6" to 2-2.5oz and it's a rocket to the moon. I haven't found anything at that price with matching hardware quality, casting and easy to work. I like to mod mine like that for extra distance.

Cotton Cordells are solid, but in the end I always return to the Yozuri Cruisers. (And I don't think it's mere sentiment at work here, just because they were the first pencils I ever used.)

I am a firm believer that you’ve gotta have faith in what you’re throwing.

Stick with whatever’s working for you.

And there’s nothing wrong with using/liking something because it was the first one you experienced.

We’re all a little superstitious in that regard and are always looking for ways to insure our initial success is repeated.

Amen to that, Valentine.

I absolutely love the 7” CC, it seems to out catch much higher priced pencils. It’s simple, tight walking, and casts a mile. And, i don’t cringe when i lose one, like I do with other $30-$40 ones. Just be sure to upgrade the hardware.
