For the folks not using actual weighted tubes, how are you rigging weights to get the tube down deeper - i.e. rig like carolina rig, 3-way swivel, etc. ???

I use unweighted tubes in 10 feet of water or less. Deeper than that I use weighted tubes

Thanks for posting. I slept on the tube n worm last season but want to expand the repertoire this year.

T-man has a weighted keel, you slip on the appropriate sized egg sinker to adjust for the depth you want... they have 2 sizes shallow & deep.

I have one of the small ones, I think I used it like twice?, i don't  T&W that often.....

In my opinion the tube and worm should be trolled with a Keel.

One, it gets the tube to the desired depth with or without added weights.

Two, it allows for twist in the line with two snap swivels on either end.

Lastly, it balances out the line so that the tube is being pulled horizontally and not on an upwards angle.

I'll give this a shot this season, saw a few videos posted on the ol Youtube showing this rig. Interesting concept and produces, no doubt.

I go unweighted, though I still use a keel.  I use these Luhr Jensen Les Davis plastic keels.  I find that they don’t get fouled with weeds nearly as much as the wire style keels.
