I have one. Sorry to be a heretic but too easily damaged. Lids jam and never understood all the noise made about them.

That's because of your coarse  working man's approach to fishing.  MY gillie understands very well that if he damages my Wheatly while extracting a fly he will feel the swift lash of my walking stick about his ribs and may very well do without his supper.  These things are simple if you understand them.

They make nice boxes. Honestly I enjoy the Okuma boxes of similar construction better. And their price point is appropriate.

I like the small Cabela’s knockoffs as well.

Wheatley boxes I use for worms and a few Perrine's for dries and nymphs and a small one for soft hackles , The Perrine's may not be as collectible but still serviceable . That's my main criteria for a box anyway. P2280013.JPG.c5d19422b2ef827e317c688f09d4f9c7.JPGP2280016.JPG.a377e4a2248c8a11a675d38261103e14.JPGP2280006.JPG.9b74999badfb506148437dd9180bb93e.JPGP2280008.JPG.3c317256c5b3e42d2626a6007c054c67.JPGP2280010.JPG.1aba19687738a9d6cdf26bc164ce25d2.JPG
