If that’s real Idk how I feel about those fake gold cuts on the spool, makes it look cheap. They’re shaped exactly like the Stella SWs too, I definitely like the current spool better.

Any idea when you’ll get your hands on one?

I don't think I'll be getting any pre release product to show and tell after that Daiwa BG mq debacle.

They definitely need to make some cut outs on the spool and rotor to make this reel lighter and for better water and sand drainage.  It's a solid reel for sure, but weighs like a tank.

Spool cut outs would likely only remove half an ounce on even the largest spool size.

And Not sure about the need to have cut outs on the spool to clear sand?

In the rotor sure....

But the slammer isn't that kind of reel.  It's not a dunk and crank to clear sorta reel...

At least not the ones i've used or my friends have had.

I know that reel isnt that kind of reel that cant be reeled under water but, it has the potential for it i think.  I know its not a VS or ZB, but it definitly can take a dunk or 2(maybe not 3), but its a solid reel for me.  I just wish it was lighter.
