The picture in my post showing Future Glue Brush-on SG is years old. Years ago it was sold at WalMart which no longer sells that brand. They now sell Krazy Glue, and Krazy Glue brush-on also works well. Sometimes WalMart has it in the house paint section or in the craft section, mostly in both sections. J-B Weld also sells a brush-on version of SG but I haven’t field tested it yet, but I’m sure it works well too. I think I bought the J-B Weld at Lowes. There are other brands of brush-on SG too. When gluing up hooks to lures I try to glue a few the evening before my fishing trip. True, super glue dries in seconds… but I think they dry even harder overnight. Lures allowed to dry overnight catch far more fish than those glued up on the river. I hate it when my 4” paddletail slips down the shank of the hook… or as I call it, “Having my pants pulled down”. That JB Weld glue you have right there in that pic......is DYNAMITE stuff. Only a small amount of that is needed for whatever you’re doing. GREAT stuff!! Saltydogfishing
My all time favorite back bay lure for the sod banks and marshes, the bomber badonkadonk 4” in bone color. for stripers in open water I love the snow owl fly or the peanut bunker fly in these pics. For fluke if it ain’t chartreuse, it ain’t no use. Other colors work but that’s my go to teaser color unless proven otherwise for that day. Saltydogfishing
You sure can but I use them for flyfishing. I make less complicated flies for teasers but these will work great also. Steve_M
I caught more fish on this lure at night in the fall than any other lure here on the Jersey shore. 6” swarter. Many times no one else was catching anything. I continued crushing them. Edited February 17, 2021 by Steve_M

I used the 7 inch almost exclusively when our night bite started. Killed it for me. Be careful , the older 6 inchers were not through wired . Don’t ask me how I know. The new ones are.
