A must have for the Grey Ghost streamer, but not dyed like that.  I've got a whole skin, but I can't think of much use for the feathers other than the Grey Ghost.

I just opened a new thread "Québec Brookies Flies" on the Fly Tying Forum with the picture of three streamers using silver pheasant feathers for shoulders including this Orange Grey Ghost, a variant of the other.20210128_135202.jpg.8c9eb481c026f94183c5dae4153869be.jpg

Very nice tie there Suave.  The Grey Ghost (along with the Spruce Fly) were my "day saver" flies as a youngster.  If I couldn't catch trout on dries or nymphs, I could usually scratch out a few nice fish swinging those streamers through a tailout.

You can use those on quite a few patterns.Even the big ones on bunker and mackeral patterns.

Looks like dyed mallard flank, to me.

fushia or claret.

So a mallard flank feather at the top and two silver pheasant feathers at the bottom.20210129_104434.jpg.f02f8c404a751afb928db4ebf769f212.jpg
