Proof the Joint Chiefs of Staff are part of the Deep State.

They never issued a statement like that for BLM protests.

Selective Outrage!

Why would the Joint Chiefs comment on attacks on federal buildings, local police departments, and private property, even if it happens on a much larger scale and over a longer period of time. Heck why would they even comment on local murders committed by activists. OTOH, if it's your life or business, might seem like a really big deal.

Thank you for acknowledging that there is a fundamental difference between 1/6/21 and the riots of 2020, even if they happened "on a much larger scale and over a longer period of time".

The words "sedition and insurrection" being the key distinction.

That is not a concept many here have been willing to admit.

Of course there's a distinction. The question is how fundamentally different is it?

You know, it seems like just yesterday when I asked you to suggest some objective way to measure the difference between the two types of riots.

Would it be objective to point out one is sedition and insurrection and the other is not?

That's all I got.

Perfectly reasonable.

But, there's a lot more to assessing the effect of events other than just looking at the immediate political dimensions. There are the long term political effects as well. How about the economic and human elements?

It all matters.

When you're a little kid, and your father, who's a cop, isn't come home tonight because he was killed in a riot, not it doesn't matter if he was killed in DC or St. Louis.

But no one cares about the dead cop or little kid.  All some of you seem to care about is how the situation can be used to target Trump.

And pray tell Maxi, what CONSTITUTIONAL power do the Joint Chiefs have? Are they somehow in the line of succession to the POTUS? NO. The Military has no power to govern or enforce what they feel is right.

"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States"

Nancy Pelosi isn't the Commander in Chief

The Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen Mark Mikkey isn't Command in Chief.

Donald Drumpf is.

Pelosi should be charged with conspiracy to commit sedition

This is just a glimpse into who will be running things when Biden takes office. Some of these Dems don't care about the Constitution or this type of communication wouldn't even be considered.

If only you could speak this way of trumps coup attempt

or any of the many ways trump and republicans have been untethered to the constitution.

Because regular Army troops will soon be deployed against the American people?
