PhillyPhisher
Got out on the lower deschutes last week for an evening. There we some good rainbows around. Things should be heating up with the salmon spawn down there.  Floated a section of the upper deschutes today. This part of the river closes the end of the month. We threw streamers all day. Landed a handful of fish, a few decent ones. Got several follows for really good fish fish but they wouldn’t commit. Also rowed to boat for a while. That’s a first for me. I liked it. slowroller, Fergal, Stonefish and 3 others
spitzlure14
  I copied @drew c. Using the hollow method to tie in the bucktail. Hopefully it works for some albies. theshadow, KidDkivahh, Hook I and 3 others
Fergal
Up for dawn patrol again and still waiting. I did see albies yesterday. One rogue albie blew up at my feet, conveniently right after I made a long cast. That made me cast for an hour and a half. Never any in close after.  The chub mackerel are amazingly polite and consistent-they’ve shown everyday right around 8:15. There aren’t many of them tho.  A lot of wind last night, more today, all bad - SW. but it changes tonight to N. Tomorrow will probably be a bust but thurs-sat should be prime. Edited September 28, 2021 by Drew C. JEFFSOD
A couple of recent fall run photos from Buzzards Bay. The fish, which were all stripers, were on peanut bunker and sticking to them like glue. Fergal
Gear pic = no fish once again. The albies are ‘around’ but not showing in any numbers. I had a small group blow up at my feet yesterday again, just as I arrived at the water, so I was ready yet. The spot here is very deep and I suspect that they run the channel deep and never really show. Also, they’re so few it makes blind casting tough in that you could probably fish for hours and get one take. I still have another 8 days tho, so there’s some hope.  Ps - they brought my boat over lol. It must be a hard life…. Edited September 30, 2021 by Drew C. Spitzlure - you should also post these photos over in the fly tying forum. I think you will get better advice there, and also these big suckers are amazing. So get them in the forum where people really appreciate 'em.
