Sorry first few striped ones of the year i should have said.  If we stay ice free may take the kids out freshwater fishing soon... temps havent been bad during daytime.  And any excuse to get out of the house is welcomed at this stage

 Codfishing charter soon...

 Cabin fever is fully enabled.

I usually count on a couple fishing shows , don't even have that to look forward to , don't usually buy much but drooling and fondling helps and once I finish some beers I get to look at some tackle.

I'm on the board with a holdover striper. My goal is to catch at least one every month this year. Might have to go to the Housatonic in Feb if the forecasted cold weather comes through.

I never met him in person, although we did exchange a few messages through SOL over the years. He always treated me well.

the cannon part was a ton of fun. Miss those older days, was a fun group of great fisherman willing to share tips and tricks.  Got a great lesson on bucktailing the the channel that year by a wise member , and still use that today there and other locations.

Your welcome

Mike,

This year we had bunker in the river until late Jan.Yupper Late Jan . They were in front on the drydocks at work. I have never seen that in all off my years working in the aThames.
