You know it! Both of her fish qualified for youth pin, she’s leading the state for youth at the moment!

this week end we will be back out there. I’m going to hopefully get her on a pickerel that qualifies as well.

id love to help get her 5 species worth of pins through the ice. I’ve seen custom tilts with the pins inlaid. I have some Mahogany I’ve been holding onto for 20 years now with intentions of building some custom tilts

Fancy catches fisherman, simple catches fish

Unsure if you ice men heard this......picture and article in the Globe this AM

15 pound, 13 ounce brown trout caught by a Hinsdale guy ice fishing Stockbridge Bowl last Saturday.  Measured 32 " was on the line for 15 minutes.  He donated the filets to his brother and plans to do a "synthetic mount".

Not a state record, as a 19 pound, 10 ounce brown was caught in '66 in the Choo.

Oh yeah, it's been all over social media, although I hadn't heard the location outed. I knew it was on a short list of lakes in that area.

Absolutely gorgeous clean looking healthy fish. It didn't look like a recent stocked brood fish.

Trophy of a lifetime for a Massachusetts lake.

I bet that lake is Swiss cheese by the end of the long weekend. Be interesting to see if any other trophies come out.

I recall when that trout was caught.  I was a teenager.  Jack Woolner had a local tv show called the Woolner Bros Outdoors.  Great show for it's time. They featured everything associated with hunting, fishing and the outdoors all over NE.

They featured the angler, including the fish on their show.  The fish was caught on an Al's goldfish that was painted florescent orange.

I have a ton of fresh water ice jigs left to me by a long time friend that were all hand made which when ever we used them were successful in catching many species of fish through the ice . I need some one to take some pictures to be able to put them up. The sizes and shapes were all done by hand and painted with some crazy colors. They also worked on Smelt as well through the ice or from a dock along the harbor edges.

Peace and Prayers
