I spent most of the season stuck in Virginia under covid related DOD travel restrictions so it was a welcome relief to make it up North for a few days of casting and family in October.

The pics suck but the moment was cool.
While fishing the CT river from our yaks a momma bobcat and two babies came out of the brush and down to the bank. When I reached for my phone mom spooked and ran up the bank calling for the babies. I got a second to take pics of them before they went off to follow mom. Probably the highlight of my year so far (a ***tty year but nonetheless)

Not necessarily my favorite pics but good a place as any to claim bragging rights. My 14 year old has gotten to be quite a successful fisherman. I get most of my fishing thrills through him now.

A couple to show the ole man can still get lucky. Like a blind squirrel.

I worked in that building for many years. Used to see some big carp sunning themselves out the window.

It was people who worked there that tipped us off. Apparently you get a good view into the water from those windows.

I probably should have blacked out that background. I hate pics like that.

Good news is it's a tough place to fish. The average person who visits gives it up pretty quick.
