Is Night Fishing Banned?

Per the new advisory, it is "suggested" MA residents stay at home from 10pm to 5am. This seems similar to the language of the "suggestion" that people wear masks in public laces that preceded the official mask mandate, which was also treated as a mandate. I heard something silly like taking a walk is allowed, so how about a walk along the shoreline with a rod and bag? How about a walk to a boat ramp with a kayak?

Technically you are supposed to stay home but I doubt anyone will enforce any of these ridiculous rules. This curfew is the most ridiculous one yet. Does the virus now only come out after 10:00 like Gremlins?

Mostly they are trying to ban gathering after hours like drinking parties, bars etc. So the curfew, bars and restaurant hours are for that. Unless they go and bust a private party after 10pm, it's no use for anyone else if you aren't gathering.

Nobody is going to stop you from going fishing at night.  On the other hand, something needs to be done.  With Covid cases skyrocketing again it’s clear people are either too stupid to socially distance, or they just don’t care anymore.
