Selecting an airbrush

Hey guys,

I’m looking for advice on selecting an airbrush. I’ve got a cheap gun that I don’t love and I’m looking for an upgrade with a wider spray pattern as I mostly shoot simple color patterns.

using mostly createx paints

for 20 years I used a Paasch VL and was never 100% happy with it. Clogs alot spits at times but I am far from an expert painter and figured it was mostly operator error. I recently got a PEAK from Eelpunt, what a difference. Very smooth and trouble free experience. Worth a look.

Wow, that is some great work.

I am just getting into the painting part.

I bought a OPHIR spray gun kit mainly for the compressor/tank combo. I have an older Badger compressor/ airbrush set without a tank and it wouldn’t maintain an even pressure/volume. The airbrush is too old to get parts for.

The airbrush in the kit came with 3 different size needles and nozzles. I haven’t done much with it yet. I was leaning towards buying a different airbrush later. What paint do you use?
