· #1 Posted October 29, 2020 · Report post I bought a new Penn Slammer 4500, I always use power pro, never really have an issue with it, but was wondering if there is another braid that is as good or better? 0 Go to top
· #2 Posted October 29, 2020 · Report post I like Suffix 832. I have been using for years. Never had any problems with it. Used 20 and 30 lb for throwing plugs. 2 Go to top

· #7 Posted October 30, 2020 · Report post Just curious. Why wouldn't you consult the very long post on braid at the top of the page? 0 Go to top

· #10 Posted October 30, 2020 · Report post Powerpro is fine. Basically anything that isn't the generic Amazon/eBay **** is fine. 0 Go to top
· #11 Posted October 30, 2020 · Report post Motorcrazy, that is cool. Just asked as that post on braid was the biggest reason for me joining this forum. And yes, I did binge read the entire post. Then I bought line and sent it to the guy for testing. Some would like to simplify matters. Others might want to know "the rest of the story". 0 Go to top
· #12 Posted October 30, 2020 · Report post Sufix 832 is the best braid I’ve had the pleasure of using. Other than that I do like regular power pro and super slick up to 30lb. 0 Go to top

· #14 Posted October 30, 2020 · Report post I've had 2 bad spools of power pro. I've had many others that were fine, but after losing a couple of fish and then launching new lures using fresh PP, I'm done with it. I've been using Sufix 832 with no issues so far. 1 Go to top

I echo your experience. But I ventured out to Sufix 832, J Braid x8, and Kast King (Yea, I trust it more than PP now lol). 0 Go to top
