Trying to buy a Fall outta a pair of Bean waders.

Went w the flex seal. Had leaks around both boot tops,

a little thru some seams, and some seepage in some

small areas that just arent waterproof any longer. No

actual punctures. Week 4 and so far im still dry. Not

sure its worth the ball bustin im takin tho.

Haha this is interesting, hadn’t thought of flex seal, I sprung a leak in my Bean waders too( and unfortunately with the lack of their lifetime warranty now) and tried to patch them half hazardly, didn’t work too well lol but maybe I’ll try this, I can deal with the busting as long as it worked!

Front of boots of my proline bootfoot waders developed cracks about 2 years ago.

I used aqua seal, I think, within the thickness of the crack.  I then put flex seal tape over the cracks.  No leaks then or 2 years later.  Tape has peeled off just a little bit.

Ive used aqua seal and e-6000 and both

have worked well on other applications.

Especially the e-6000. Went w the flex seal

because of the spray application.

Did you get a colored version? I'm wondering if the clear would be noticeable.

I've had good luck with aqua seal, but I can see flex seal being a better option if you can't pinpoint where the leak is.

I didn't know exactly where my leak was until I filled the waders with water from a hose.

Doing that confirmed my nuttyness to my wife.

Just sprayed my boot seams with flex seal spray and stepped into the surf last night to find a new leak in the knee. Nothing like marching through the sand and surf in waterlogged boots!

Im in leak-free usia waders now, but I used flex seal on my last pair..

It worked great.. they r still water tight and I kept them around as a backup/loaner pair..

The leak drove me nuts.. couldn't find it for the life of me.. leaked sometimes, not every trip.. infuriating...

Tried to spray w alcohol to locate the leak... Nope

Tried the fill with water method... Nope...

Finally I just sprayed the boots and waders, all around, right up to the knee... They never leaked a drop after that.  My buddy wore them a few nights ago and they are still bone dry..

A can of flex seal at wally-world was a cheap fix that worked well

These are my best investment in years... Not quite as airy as my previous breathables, but nothing like neoprene either...

And if they ever spring a leak, USIA will service/repair their products for life...
