Hitting 60 years old is fine but my shoulders need to replaced. I love surf fishing but can’t toss lures must past a half hour maybe 45 minutes on a good day. Looking for recommendations on finding a very light 9 foot 1-4 spinning rod. Think I’ll pair it with a stradic 4000 or Daiwa Bg.

Thanks in advance

Century Stealth, 1-4oz. Extremely light, casts with minimal effort.  No more sore shoulders and back. It will extend your fishing time

Little less on the range you're looking for but J&H Tackle has a really fun 10 footer (Dark Matter OB, their house brand) for 0.5 to 1.5oz. My go to for schoolies or fluke.

I’ve been reading up on this rod ..... 10’ weighs 7 oz..... SEVEN!!!

I fish a CTS vapor trail 2-4oz. I bought this rod because of a severe neck injury.  It is far lighter than both of my 9’ rods. Century stealth is also a light rod but I don’t know anything about them. If your on Long Island I would be happy to let you test drive my CTS.
