PottersPond
Hitting 60 years old is fine but my shoulders need to replaced. I love surf fishing but can’t toss lures must past a half hour maybe 45 minutes on a good day. Looking for recommendations on finding a very light 9 foot 1-4 spinning rod. Think I’ll pair it with a stradic 4000 or Daiwa Bg. Thanks in advance
i_like_poppers
Little less on the range you're looking for but J&H Tackle has a really fun 10 footer (Dark Matter OB, their house brand) for 0.5 to 1.5oz. My go to for schoolies or fluke. plugchucker 1 I have the vocabulary of a well-educated sailor.

Goose
Tsunami SaltX 9'6" - Very nice and light 2 piece and a slim and sleek design. Also heard great things on the ODM range as well. (*member formerly known as ‘Tristan454’)
Mojoe
+1 on the Blackhole Suzuki, that’s the lightest rod I’ve come across.
Johnsmyname
Tsunami Airwave Elite, just got one and really like it. No personal experience with any other super light casting rods, but it’s def light and is a great rod. TinyTrout

webfoot44
I fish a CTS vapor trail 2-4oz. I bought this rod because of a severe neck injury. It is far lighter than both of my 9’ rods. Century stealth is also a light rod but I don’t know anything about them. If your on Long Island I would be happy to let you test drive my CTS.
