I'm looking for a new reel. I'm between the saltiga 15h and Trinidad 12a or 14a. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

What's the reel going to be used for?

Are you casting/surf fishing? Or just dropping weight n bait

I currently have the saltiga 15h and I have owned 2 trini's

I'm mostly going to be using it for cod  striped bass and maby blackfish from a boat.

Both are solid reels but I prefer the Trinidads, I've had 6 currently own 4. I've had them for 5 years now never serviced rarely cleaned and have landed literally tons of fish, not a single issue and still as smooth as the day I bought them.

The Trini is a solid reel..   But I prefer the saltiga for dropping lead on wrecks...

The spool lock feature has come in handy several times when a break off was necessary..

I used to own the Saltiga.  If you're bottom fishing, you might want to consider the low speed 5.1 version.  The Saltiga looks like a work of art, if that matters to you.

I haven't used the Trinidad before but it's known to be super smooth.  People complain about the white knob though because it gets dirty easily.  The Trini only comes in one (higher) speed.
