Her new legislation is not about Trump and today apparently - was that false advertising yesterday?

Nope, this is about future president's apparently which could include Joe Biden. "Science" will guide the use/abuse of the 25A she says.

Citing 25th Amendment, Pelosi, Raskin move to create panel that could rule on president’s fitness for office

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Rep. Jamie B. Raskin (D-Md.) plan to introduce legislation Friday that would create a commission to “help ensure effective and uninterrupted leadership” in the presidency.

The panel would be called the Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of Office, “the body and process called for in the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution,” the offices of Pelosi and Raskin said in a statement announcing the move.

The 25th Amendment formalizes that the vice president takes over the duties of the presidency in the event of a president’s death, inability to perform his duties or resignation from office. It also lays out a process by which a sitting president may be removed from office. Congress’s role in this, however, is limited.

President Trump’s four-day hospitalization at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after contracting the novel coronavirus forced the administration to answer questions about the 25th Amendment and succession.

Administration officials said Trump remained on the job despite his hospitalization for covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, and there were no plans for Vice President Pence to assume even temporary authority as president. Trump returned to the White House on Monday evening.

Pelosi, who as speaker is second in line to the presidency, previewed the move on Thursday, telling reporters that she would discuss the 25th Amendment on Friday. She did not elaborate.

Not surprising, Biden’s medical unfitness for the Presidency is common knowledge.

Not common enough. Most Biden voters are either ignorant or ignoring his issues because they hate Trump more

Trump just told Limbaugh that Pelosi is setting this up so that she can "replace Joe with Kaaaamala".

Rush said it was an attempt to get the public ready for such in the future.

Tom that definitely resonates.

In keeping with the usual chicanery of the DNC it is about setting up the means to quickly replace Biden should he win.

The DNC has turned on their blowtorches, and they are trying the scorch the Constitution, thankfully that document is mostly fireproof.

Limbaugh all over this right now after his 2 hour Trump interview. Rush saying that Biden is apparently "not a cooperative player" in all this. Was he ever? Did Joe have a moment of clarity where the fog cleared and he noticed what he is going on around him?

As the 25A stands today the VP has to sign off on removing the president. Naggona happen. I think this is just another distraction to keep the heat off Biden. There will be a steady stream of these narrative generators  until election day!

Trumps covit condition reminds us what exactly is plan "B"?

How is 25thA to be executed?

Right now its just a 'judgement call' by the VP and the WH cabinet, should the Pres be unable to state otherwise.

I would be in favor of at least having the Congress help weigh-in on how the transfer of power should go.

Republicans should be just as concerned, this is not a 'setup' like you want to think so....

It's already spelled out.

It does not need any fixing.

Hating the current President is not a valid reason to start changing things that you don't like.

We're the educated elite, remember.

You are the dumb voters Trump publicly professed to love...and indeed comprises the base on which his political prospects are dependent.
