My Son Got the Covid

Unless the person has underlying health issues or is elderly the results of catching it are similar: like the flu or a cold.

Those that are "high risk" get it the results are typically much worse.

One of the key factors to consider is keeping yourself in "relative" good health.

Except for the severity of the Covid19 virus, it looks a lot like a bad flu outbreak.

It's sad that we had to have "authorities" impose restrictions and regulations when common sense would have sufficed (preventative measures).

One concern I have is that since this is a "new" virus, and had apparently shown signs of virus mutation, what effect will it have on those who had it and recovered? Will it change how their bodies react to future flu viruses?

Will we become more susceptible or maybe less susceptible to future infections?

Just wondering?

Glad to hear your son is doing well.  A friend’s son about the same age had a similar experience.  Somewhat of a crap shoot, as the downside is not particularly attractive.

That is the problem with this disease. It kills a lot of people but others get just a mild case. Hence, all of the spread.

Well FishermanTim the 200,000 + dead would disagree with you.

got it or had it?

Still in quarantine. He said two days were a bad cold and has the usual lingering cold stuff -- congestion and a cough that's better every day.

You sure he didn’t just get sick off of your cooking?

He did puke when I showed him your chicken pot pie.

Plus he's 26, out doing his thing, living about 200 miles from me.

I apparently had it and didn’t know it. I have the antibodies, so I assume I had it.

This lockdown is excessive. I honestly believe the Dems made it an issue to in the hope they could blame Trump and win the election. Cuomo seems to enjoy locking down businesses.
