Rod North Fork Blackfish

Hi all, what rod would you recommend for north fork blackfish?  I do a trip out of there every year or so, and I'm usually a bit undergunned once the sinkers reach 12-14 ounces. I usually deal with it, as I never encounter these conditions in my home waters, but I'd be interested to see what you all suggest, thanks.

Custom Rod or off the rack? Rodgeeks x-comps

I do build some of my own rods, but would need this one on short notice, so off the rack. I may do a charter instead of a party boat this year, so I may end up using their gear. I'll keep that blank in mind in case I decide to build one in the offseason, thanks!

Not a problem. The make a couple different x-comps that would fit what you are trying to do and they can be trimmed to the action you prefer. Off the rack, you can't beat a shimano teramar for the price but I like the Phenix M1 inshore.

Personal boat I prefer a shorter rod... But on party boats I like a little extra length.. my go2 is the BH challenger bank 761MH ... Handles those weights effortlessly

731M is well suited also
