Tying room makeover.

Emptied the room and painted. Refinished the Armoire. Now filled with what was once taking up space in a closet, tying desk, and feather chest.
Stripped and refinished the bed. Awaiting the new mattress to arrive.
Time to get after framing and hanging the artwork I’ve collected over the years.

Very nice and love the base of your vise. You made it?

No sir. The base was done by Markus VonBaldwin. Look him up tell him I sent you. He does some incredible work.

Nice.AND you're sleeping in your tying room.:howdy:

Not really but I could. I have to share with the guest bedroom. Luckily I’ve got the hall pass to set up the entire room as I see fit. With just a couple encumbrances from the Queen.

#1 Keep it clean. My queen actually went into my shop with a vacume cleaner and did the floor and then "tried" to organize the benches[2, 14' long].That didn't go over well.I had to speak up and put down the "law"."I don't go in your kitchen...…..You don't go[clean] in my shop! It's worked quite well. She cringes when she passes through to get into the garage.I just smile.:box::laugh::howdy:

And two bottles of Angel's Envy.  Looks great!

I feel like I miss so much by only drinking it though?

For the record the “Working” bottle is in the tying desk. And the Rye is about as good as it gets.

Pretty much the only Bourbon

If you found something you like, might as well stick with it.  Personally, I like a little variety.

I've made it a sport to find delicious, reasonably-priced* bourbons.  A few others I enjoy:

  • McKenna's 10 yr
  • Eagle Rare
  • Elijah Craig
  • My old standby - Wild Turkey 101

*Bourbon prices are hugely market driven.  The McKenna is a good example - it was around 30 bucks until it was "discovered" and now it's twice that.
