Went 22 (centimeters) and 10 (grams).

seriously—this tiny fish hit a one ounce smiling Bill bucktail with a trailer. Fluke are crazy predators.

The scouts are having a fishing derby next weekend, I think it's next weekend. There's prizes for most fish, largest fish, and smallest fish.

Where the heck in Austin did you catch that? Not looking to spot burn just a general area ;)

I am a few miles down the road - there are no fluke around here!

Also, you must be the only other person in Texas that knows what a buck-tail jig is!

Got a buddy in Austin who ties his own (tiny) bucktails in sizes for Crappie and Specs. They’re good too.

I want to tag into a good Weakfish while I’m here so I can show some of these TX guys what a “trout” really can be.

Weakfish taste better too - can't explain it, they just do - and weakfish are a touch prettier.

These Texas guys fish with bass-pond gear because, the fish are so tiny! :D

Enjoy home! Catch a big one!
