Ran into this one in my friends yard yesterday. I am no expert on mushroom id but I do believe it is a hen of the woods. The mushroom was rather large and not buggy or woody yet. It looked like it was growing from the stump of a cut oak. It took pictures of the top and bottom and am curious what other more mushroom savy people think of it. If it is a hen, I would think it is ready for harvest.

I'm not so confident, every hen I've ever seen has had much smaller and more numerous shelfs and was darker.  My guess is False Turkey Tail but I'm no expert
