Great way to add correct amount of backing.

5 wraps of cheap mono n fill her up with braid. How f’in hard is this?

You’re missing the point. If you have a 150 yard spool of braid and want to fit it all on your reel with the right amount of backing your method will not work.

one way of doing it. Having an extra spool is easier.

Yes, if you have a spare spool for every one of your reels.

^^^I used to do that but I bought a “Bees Knees” line spooler.

It’s a little pricey but it works better than using a second reel.

Buy braid in bulk , just saying. Why cheap out on line after spending good money on rods, reeks, lures and who knows what else? This isn’t rocket science.

Many premium braids don't come in bulk spools, and many applications don't call for 300+ yards of braid.

If your gonna do it this way, get a empty big spool from tackle shop. They will have plenty. Roll whole thing off so you don't have to cut and re tie your backing knots

If you transfer from reel onto one big spool you’ll still have to transfer the line onto another big spool before putting on back on your reel.
