Well, there's a new place in St. James that sells bait, tackle and ethanol free gas. Otherwise Cow harbor is the next closest shop.

Ethanol free gas in St. James? Please share.

North Country gas, bait and tackle.  Can't post the link because of forum rules.  It's on 25A

Capt Steve is correct, never knew his last name. My memory is failing as I get old, you remember the last year he was there , seems like forever ?

Im thinking 87’ - 89’ abouts.  My memory is the town stopped giving him the permit to sell there when somebody was going to open a shop in one of the last houses before the inn. Not sure if the shop ever opened.

The huge schools of bunker (and blues & stripers) that would go through that river in those years… wonder if it ever comes back.

The old man at TT may have been cranky, but he knew his stuff.

Yep, he even gave me copies of guide and seat layouts for Mullers rods

He's like the Seinfeld soup nazi.  Constantly busting his kid's balls around the shop. Don't ask stupid questions, you won't like the answer.

Great little spot. They have a pretty good selection for a small store. That's where I go for my 9" shads.
