From the Military Times.

I would have C&Ped more,  but there were too many embedded links.

Questions:

Why is Trump's support less than that of past Republican presidents?    Or is this Fake News?

Gee, I wonder why?  HAHAHA

"The Military Times Polls, surveying active-duty troops in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University."

The Team at IVMF: head honcho - J. Michael Haynie

1) In 2013, Haynie was appointed by the Obama Administration to serve as the Chairman of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Federal Advisory Committee on Veterans’ Employment and Training.

2) Rosalinda Maury, director of applied research at IVMF noted the poll, which has been administered in the same way for the past four years, is not a perfect snapshot of public opinion within the entire military force. The average age of poll respondents was nearly 39 years, and the participant pool was culled and verified from Military Times subscriber lists and databases.

Not exactly a poll, but a poll nonetheless.

Moonie - you got him bro. The hate is dripping. LOL

Yes, but his poll numbers are much lower than past Republican presidents with members of the active military.  That is what the poll shows.

Why?  Or is this poll from The Military Times fake news?

No, they're not.

And no, it doesn't.

Thank you.

Common sense said it had to be a fake poll, and you proved it.

Why would troops vote, against, the guy who wants to bring them home?

One of the reasons Moonie did not quote more from the website - this followed his quoted bit:

Quote

Poll limitations

Rosalinda Maury, director of applied research at IVMF, said the poll serves as an important reminder that the military — much like the rest of the country — is made up of a large collection of different experiences and perspectives.

“We do see consistencies from poll to poll, aspects of national security that may be more of a focus for a military audience,” she said. “But the military is not a homogenous population. You do see a variety of opinions, especially within subsets of the military.”

But she noted the poll, which has been administered in the same way for the past four years, is not a perfect snapshot of public opinion within the entire military force. The average age of poll respondents was nearly 39 years, and the participant pool was culled and verified from Military Times subscriber lists and databases.

Feaver said the poll “is a good sample of the career-oriented military members’ views, which may be different from the junior enlisted view of things.”

......

The splits between officer and enlisted views within the poll are notable. More than 59 percent of officers said they have a poor view of the president, with more than half saying they strongly disapprove.

Among enlisted respondents, 47 percent said they have an unfavorable view, and nearly 39 percent a favorable view. Enlisted views of Trump’s performance in office have consistently been more favorable than those of officers in the poll over the last four years.

Feaver said that could be due to officers’ predisposition to long-term military careers, and a negative reaction to Trump’s comments against the “deep state” and other career federal positions.

KB, would you agree that the views of Military Times subscribers, being focused on officers, past and present, might differ a bit from the entirety of the military? That the general population, including the enlisted ranks, might have a less "elite" view of things?

Yes.

I also see that the decline in support has used the exact same sampling since it started in 2016.

Funny how I get called out to respond to a poll in the title of this thread, but I have posted this one several times without comment from Moonie nor any of the other liberals having fun above.

Up 9% to 24% approval among registered black voters and yet not a peep from the Usual Suspects - I wonder why?

Poll: Trump approval rises among black, hispanic voters amid convention

8/28/2020

President Trump's support among black voters rose 9 percentage points amid the Republican National Convention, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.

Twenty-four percent of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 76 percent said they disapprove.

That is up 9 points from the previous survey conducted Aug. 8-11, where the President received 15 percent support among this group.

The survey found support among Hispanic voters also grew by 2 percentage points, from 30 percent in the last poll to 32 percent in this most recent survey.

Trump's service member support has dropped a bit, but I don't think it matters much considering the very small percentile.

Veterans still have a higher rating of him than the general population, and those numbers are larger.

Still can't see why anyone would have a favorable view of the disaster that is Trump, especially considering his abhorrent character.

Hope he suffers a loss in Nov along with the GOP.   Hoo Ya America!

So a 10% spread between officers and enlisted last year.

But again, a poll limited to only the subscribers to MT. How many enlisted subscribe?

"...Joe Biden leads President Trump by a 43%-37% margin among active-duty troops, according to a Military Times poll published Monday.

Flashback: In a similar poll conducted shortly before the 2016 election, Trump led Hillary Clinton by a 41%-21% margin. Since 2016, though, the president's approval rating among active-duty troops has fallen from 46% to 38%, while his disapproval rating has climbed to 50%..."  As reported by Axios.   They are referencing the same poll.
