Getting this thread going for the Upcoming fall.  Finally got away from work today and getting the yak down to South Cape.  Limited shots but made the best out of a few chances.  Lots of boats and kayaks out today.  Brought someone new out there today to get in on the action.

Hogy 7/8 blue worked.

Thanks. Anyone can do it. Nice to get away from the bass and the insanity that comes with it.

We just started seeing funny fish in NJ now so it should hopefully get better than last year. You seeing any king mackerel?

Nothing for me but one other did out of a boat in Buzzards Bay.

We have little chovies right now in South Cape along with this mysterious peanuts that show here and there.

My bread and butter for Core is West but need nuts or some big chovies in September-October and hopefully November.

Man, be careful out there yakkers.  More and more folks in Boats and Kayaks are chasing Albacore. That means people from all walks of life...some with common sense and some questionable sense. Be careful out there, swivel head, stay visible, try to find that obscure area where you can get a shot at scoring a core and not get hit by a boater!

Definitely, and try to wear bright clothing if you have it. I was out in a boat today, and there were two separate kayakers that I didn’t spot until I was pretty close because of the large swells.

Absolutely tough going today.  Reckless Dangerous Boaters, Boaters killing your opportunity, finicky Albies.....but when you score it makes it worth the effort.  A lot of Obstacles today for the plastic navy!...Hogy Blue again!
