It celebrates the ascent of humanity through education and evolution, dangerous concepts to wilful ignorance.

I saw that too, but didn't find it offensive.

To be factual, it should also show the devolution of man, back to his baser instincts.

I am not sophisticated, or nuanced, enough to see it either.

I noticed the broad in the low cut dress, but that is hardly note worthy.

I am going with that there is not enough sexy sexy among the same sex set, or not enough people of color.

Neanderthals at the bottom, enlightened whitey at the top.

Libs see themselves as Neanderthals, i guess. Certainly they are unenlightened.

Like I said, I saw that, but didn't find it offensive.

I noted the lack of diversity in another post, and asked if that was the issue.

If some faces at the top were shaded, to look ethnic, would that appease the censors?

I’ll put this here instead of starting another thread

The Taliban Mob tore down and defaced a statue (a tribute) to Washington in LA yesterday

They hate this country, they hate the ideals that Washington’s likeness represent

And Democrats either golf clap or cheer loudly,  little difference between the two

Being so angry can't be healthy.

Might make one susceptible to the Covid.

The vertical aspect implies evolution through ascent, higher learning and aspiration to further ourselves.

Wilful ignorance misses that, and sees only it's baser nature mirrored.

Politicians and diapers should be changed often and regularly,  invariably for the same reason.

Yea, yea, yea, the tree, growth, all of that.

Isn't that what we humans do, we grow, until we don't, then we decay.

That isn't offensive, unless you think, because of a lack of diversity at the top, only White folks grow.

If that is so, would darkening some faces at the top appease the censors?

It is art, and opens up an intelligent discussion about how art reflects the mores of the time.

Much like the concept of a woman's beauty in Botticelli's time was well rounded and voluptuous.

Closing the art from view stifles that conversation, before it even gets started.

Hence to OPs reference to the Talibans reductionism.

What galls me the most is that the University and others of the same ilk, so called bastions professing aspirations to higher learning kowtow to this ignorance.

Universities used to be conversation, of this type, starters.

I guess it changed when education went from learning to indoctrination.

Are you saying my revulsion at Podesta's art is my problem.

I can live with that, if it is.

From an artists perspective, yes.  What you see is a function of what the artist portayed through the filter of your own experiences and bias'.

I can live with it as well.
