RiverRaider
The Library at The University of Oregon will censor 4 Historic murals To avoid causing boo-boo feelings and hopefully prevent a crazed left wing terrorist from burning the building to the ground Here’s one of the murals in question Raise your hand if you find it offensive A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices. – William James
MikeM58
I wonder if this has any effect on enrollment in the long run? When the University of Missouri got “woke” a few years ago, enrollment fell off to the point they closed dorms and cafeteria . It is/was beautiful! dena
Yea, let's censor art. That always works out well. But, leave the Podesta's kiddy porn art alone, that is just freedom of expression. I do have a legal type question, though...The school, as a government entity, is it making laws limiting freedom of expression, of the artist? I know this isn't a 'law', but it is a rule that carries the force of law. What would happen to the poor soul that wanted to see the mural, and tore the covering down? Burning books is out. It contributes to global warming. We compost books now, and use the compost to grow our vegetables in the communal farms. I am not sophisticated, or nuanced, enough to see it either. I noticed the broad in the low cut dress, but that is hardly note worthy. I am going with that there is not enough sexy sexy among the same sex set, or not enough people of color. Apparently I am to stupid to know what I should be offended over. The only art I have seen that truly offended me was the Podesta's artwork depicting kids being tortured. That style, in my opinion, has no place in the art world. Material abundance without character is the path of destruction. -Thomas JeffersonThere are two ways to be fooled. 55555s
It suggests an evolution from more ethnic looking people to a more eurocentric culturally white group. At least thats one way you can interpret it. WHich, with art, its really the whole point. You see what YOU see. So, those complaining about it are, in the end more the problem than the actual art. Ironic, really. Gulf Vet and aae0130 2 .
