Shot a doe in RI today. Tagged out in Zone 2. Went to pull my stand and someone stole the lone wolf, sticks, and safety line.

It is aggravating, I am not going to lie. I am lucky I can just buy another. Not really worth the stress it causes. 
 

This is the water supply CO-OP hunt. Limited access. Neighbors were poaching for years and don’t want us killing “their” deer.

I've been lucky, only stand I ever lost was when I hunted NY for a few years. Set it up the weekend before on a nice run. Drive the hour and a half out there for the bow opener full of anticipation. Walk out to get in stand and it's not there. Thought for a minute I might have somehow made a wrong turn in the dark until I found pieces of my lock on the ground. Just a cheap $130 hang on but I was more pissed about it ruining my hunt.

 

I mostly hunt my own land now. Cameras and stands haven't disappeared there.

If you don't want to lose cameras look into spy high camera mounts. been using them this season

Theft is rampant in the deer woods; and everywhere in general. More dirtbags out there than you can imagine. I hunt mostly from a climber and the only cams i hang are 28 dollar tascos. That’s a kick in the nuts LW isn’t cheap by any means. Awesome season otherwise for you it sounds. I haven’t had any other decent buck encounters this season besides the one i shot. I have passed a couple small bucks and a hand full of does. Still got a few weeks left with the blackpowder then it’s on to ice fishing and shed hunting.

Your karma sounds fine. The thief’s, he will fall from his tree stand and be found in 5 years hanging from his safety line.
