Surf bomber
I tie my buck tails with what ever is on sale wrapped in thread from my wifes sewing box ,with a few thin coats of clear nail polish to seal it. I fish the jettys so the dings and chips and losses will happen.I catch my share of fish ....firm believer in keep it simple.

I mentioned clumps because that's how it's cut from the tail and I do spread it around the collar. The OP never mentioned anything about selling jigs? The OP says he's got problems with the hair coming out of his jigs. This happens when tying in clumps of hair regardless of the thread used. It was suggested to me that I tie a light base of waxed thread much like people do when putting on braid. I will report back.
sinfish
I put a bit of backing on this one. "D" thread. No hairs come out. It was also suggested to really crank down on the thread. FYI, no finish has been applied to this thread....yet. It's been fun. Thanks to all the contributors. GoneCoastal

The hairs are spread in that jig and it looks good to me. The hairs don't come out when the proper tying technique is used- All i was trying to say.
