Care to take pictures for comparison Stella n Saltiga side by side?

Will do when I get the chance. But with words for now they are very, very similar.....weight, spool size, etc. The Saltiga feels and responds so much better. Stella is brand new as well, so not like comparing a well used reel with new one. I got tired of getting spooled from the beach from 180 plus pound tarpon lol So the 18k's were put into action.

Seem like the Stella is a bit bigger? I mean with the 18k size.

Most likely the perspective of the pic. Both weigh about the same and hold about the same amount of line. Can’t go wrong with either one of them

If you trust Alan Hawk, and so far he's been correct, go with the Makaira 10000.  A little larger and heavier but well built.

Wow,  that’s actually awesome as it’s Almost a third of the price of Stella. So it’s def refreshing to hear. I’ll have to check out Alan’s reviews, etc.  thanks you much

But this Makaira is different, only low ratio!...and already on the heavy side.

Go to expedition 5500, SALTIGA h 5000(only 22oz) or new 10k, old(2008-2013) STELLA 8k h with extra 14k spool.

Range 700$? CATALINA/ISLA h or torque 7500.

300$ slammer 6500 (5.6 or 6.2ratio), old saragosa 8k or new gosa 14k (but with 6.2 ratio...I prefer 5.7).
