theshadow
Just find the price of the rods and reels new.Now…….used,pristine start around 70% of new and go down from there. The market will tell you.Sometimes a classic rod or reel will rate a higher value due to rarity and "collectability". valentine
You know what you paid for your gear. Don’t rely on someone else telling you what it’s worth. Rather, think about what’s the lowest amount you’d be willing to take to give it up and go from there. I never sold anything where I didn’t feel that I lost quite a bit of money. But sometimes I make a new friend and get a sense of satisfaction knowing I gave them a good deal.
XBMX
You may find it easier to sell the items separately. Unless a rod is two piece it’s almost impossible to ship. Reels seem to sell quickly and everyone is looking for a bargain.
Captain Ahab
I usually will only pay about 50 percent of cost new for used in goid shape. That is real cost new not some pie in the sky msrp. If the gear is hammered i pay less sams 1 I fish fine look stupid
