Might as well grab a avid inshore at that price

For an additional $80-100? I think you meant the Tidemasters. Which I agree.

Glad they ditched the stupid split grip

Good point!

Another point to keep in mind is they are coming out with a NEW Triumph Inshore as well. It looks like the direct replacement for the now old Mojo Inshore.

And a NEW Legend Xtreme Inshore

Can never have enough.... Corporate America greed!

NEW St. Croix Triumph Inshore Series

The all-new Triumph  Inshore Series includes six versatile spinning rods with full, premium cork handles, plus seven unique casting models with a mix of full cork and split-grip handles. Ranging from 6’8” to 7’6” in length and medium-light to heavy power, all are one piece, crafted from trusted SCII carbon and feature the new Triumph-family cosmetics, premium Sea Guide components, and a special SeaSmoke color unique to Triumph Inshore. Designed with key input from regional coastal anglers, all models have fast or moderate-fast actions, with the exception of the 7’ medium-light casting model, which features a moderate, parabolic action. These exceptional handcrafted rods break new ground in St. Croix’s inshore rod retail pricing structure, with all models selling between $130 and $150.

Looks like Avid blanks (SCIII carbon and IPC) with cheaper components. Are they phasing out the Tidemaster? These are at the same price point as the current Tidemaster, which are only SCII carbon blanks.

Thats too bad.  I really thought they had both the price points staked out (triumph, mojo, tide, avid) and some nice subtle but noticeable differences:  Mojo inshore and triumph of same rating, the tripumph is a little faster and the mojo a little softer.  Not better or worse, just different flavors.

Looking forward to picking up a couple of like new used rods this year now.

I hope they’re not dumping the Tidemaster I have a few and they never had any problems. Looks like they’re moving more production to Mexico now that the new trade treaty is in the bag.
I had a few problems with a mojo, disappearing guide rings on a mojo surf and the same thing with a triumph spinning 4 piece.

Don’t know... But I doubt it.

Tidemaster vs New Mojo Inshore is the same situation with Premier vs Mojo Bass...

Premier = SCII made in USA (high production cost)

Mojo Bass = SCIII+IPC made in MX (at no cost... LOL)

More product lines equals more money... Greed!
