· #1 Posted July 16, 2020 · Report post Does anybody have any suggestions for this: I’d like to fish a combination of open sand beach and jetty. Don’t want to wear boot foot waders, or any waders really, because they are awkward and dangerous on the jetty. Now when water is warm I use felt bottom wading boots and neoprene socks and shorts on the beach and jetty. But for fall, can anyone suggest a neoprene pants or something that aren’t waders that will keep me warm AND waterproof? Or am I only dreaming? I was thing longer neoprene socks and some sort of tight cuffed pants could kind of make a seal. 0 Go to top

· #3 Posted July 16, 2020 · Report post During the warmer months a foul weather bottom along with korkers would suffice. When it gets colder out you would wear the top. 0 Go to top
· #4 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) · Report post I wear hip boots with felt soles and peanut spikes along with light Grundens splash pants ( Weather Watchers) instead of waders especially when fishing jetties or rocks where I won’t have to wade into deep water. I find them much more comfortable than waders particulacy when I have to walk long distances into fishing spots. · #5 Posted July 17, 2020 · Report post Kayak splash pants, not great for warmth, layer up underneath if it’s cold. Immersion Research, NRS, Stohlquist etc. 0 Go to top

· #7 Posted July 17, 2020 · Report post Splash pants and knee high short boots with Korker sandals. Back in the day I would cut off the boots from old chest waders and use the wader section with suspenders as foul weather pants and wore short boots with them. 1 Go to top

· #10 Posted July 20, 2020 · Report post Back when we had an abundance of jetties here in NJ I would use some grundens waterproof pants and strap some korkers to the bottom of some water proof boots. Definitely much better range of motion than wearing waders and you don’t have to worry about putting a hole in your waders if you get caught on a sharp edge/barnacle. 1 Go to top
