You never know what species a river has to offer you until you :hooked: it. Wild brown trout is expected. But this striper had me surprised. It was caught by a person that was fishing next to me. The trout I caught. The place was on fire this am until the sun burned off the fog. LOVE catching these babies

That’s a long way up the river to catch a striper! I caught them while smallmouth fishing in Dingmans Ferry. I didn’t know they went further up than that. That’s what’s fun about fishing the Delaware, you never know what’s gonna hit your lure.

The dude was surprised also. I was just watching him play him in with the lite tackle. It looked like a blast. I was thinking to myself. That fish has to be tired to swim all the way up here. But he must be LOVING the cool water:laugh:. The average temps in the WB is about 62*-65*

My thoughts exactly... Must be up there enjoying the cool water, since the mainstem has to be hot. That had to be quite the tussle on light tackle!
