"Could it be even remotely possible that in Roger Goodell’s rather interesting statement of peace and reconciliation, he was intimating that it would now be O.K. for the players to KNEEL, or not to stand, for the National Anthem, thereby disrespecting our Country & our Flag?," Trump tweeted from his official account."

Is Trump Playing right into Sleepy Joe's election play book by tweeting come fall?   Part of his base will follow Trump, and some of his base will side with the NFL "America loves it's football"

As of now the nfl plans to severely limit attendance and tarp off a large amount of seating areas featuring sponsored logos.

Sat what you will, the nfl is tops in creating generating revenue among the top 4.

Trump isn't playing right into anyone's play book.

He's simply doing whatever the **** he wants, and if America is stupid enough to vote him out of office for it, well, he'll still be rich, so **** them.

They will start but odds are the season gets hosed half way through.

Why bother to play the anthem if all it is designed to do is remind a bunch of millionaires how suppressed they are ?

Soccer leagues now have demonstration periods prior to game start.  So once they get back to fans in the stands they get subjected to five minutes of political theater.

I expect most pro sports to see a significant decline in viewership and attendance even when things get back to normal.

I just cancelled all my TV sports packages.
