CNN anchor Don Lemon suggested putting former President Barack Obama "front and center" on Mount Rushmore as a way of solving the controversy around monuments in America and around racism in general.

You ever been there? It's actually pretty awesome. Cool experience, it's much further away from the viewing gallery than it looks. The story of how it was constructed is cool as hell. You can actually walk up a trail that gets you pretty close for a much different view.

 

Cool scenes of the whole thing in the movie North by Northwest (1959, Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint.)

 

A little ways down the road from there is the Crazy Horse memorial, which is a private monument. It would be cool if they would finish that.

I'm ok with adding a black man to any monument.  

It's the erasing of white men that bothers me.  

 

However, Obama is not the black man that should be added.  He has played a major part in today's racial divide.
