Hey guys. I want to make a 10 ft conventional rod for stripers. What style of guides would you reccomend (size, shape, strengh)? Would you reccomend cork or cork tape? Should I use an aluminum reel seat or a graphite? Thanks for all the help.

Tightlines,

What are you going to throw with it?

Bait, tins, plugs?

As for a quick recommendation?

Lamiglass GSB-120-1M blank

Fuji Alconite guides

Fuji graphite reel seat

Cork tape for the grips or better, cork tape with a pattern of 60 lb mono wrapped over it and then covered in Quick Grip (a special heat shrink... Expensive, but really great and durable)
