Couple of times and only the ones I ate was bigger ones. (rarely get them on boat)

What do you see in the pic that IDs it as a pollack vs a cod?

Pollock are more streamlined with a more pointed snout and uniform golden/silvery color.

No chin barbel/forked tail.

 

Codfish have big shoulders with a rounded snout and speckled brown/red color.

Large chin barbel/round tail.
