Good idea. That stuff doesnā€™t come apart even if you want it to. I think I have some in the freezer as well! Thanks! I might just use it to help hold the Trax to the boot as well.

These wading shoes donā€™t owe me anything. These were the first generation and although they had some problems, served me well. Just trying to eek out a few more trips.Ā

Whatever glue you use - surface prep is the most important thing for adhesion.

Clean off old stuff.

Scuff it up with sand paper if possible.

A wipe with rubbing alcohol and have at it.

Ā 

And a flat head sheet metal screw or two or ten down from the inside should help.Ā  Just adds a new spike.
