Black duct tape or sheet metal screws? Gluing / epoxing shoes is like putting a bandaid on your palm.

E-6000 is waterproof and flexes. Scrape off the old adhesive. Once you fix it, the other one will act up.

Same thing happened to my old pair of Simms boots last season. Used this stuff and it worked great. Still holding strong, no  separation.

Good idea. That stuff doesn’t come apart even if you want it to. I think I have some in the freezer as well! Thanks! I might just use it to help hold the Trax to the boot as well.

I'd send that picture off to Korkers and have them replace the soles.

These wading shoes don’t owe me anything. These were the first generation and although they had some problems, served me well. Just trying to eek out a few more trips.

Whatever glue you use - surface prep is the most important thing for adhesion.

Clean off old stuff.

Scuff it up with sand paper if possible.

A wipe with rubbing alcohol and have at it.

And a flat head sheet metal screw or two or ten down from the inside should help.  Just adds a new spike.

Barge Cement is what many shoemakers used to use. I've done similar projects using it and it never let me down.
