It takes a week or so for the numbers to come in. I’m guessing they are poor regardless. Price is probably around $3 would be my best guess

You are qll full of baloney according to OTW:

Regarding striped bass in much of Massbay, it’s about as good as it gets right now! To put it in perspective, many who are reveling in 30, 40 and even 50-pound stripers are whispering among themselves, “How big do you think the biggest bass down there is right now?”. It’s hard to get any better than that!

Also to put something else in perspective.

When the fishery collapse in the mid to late 1970s all we were catching towards the end were huge cows.       We all thought  the future was great.    We're catching huge fish, the price is up, what could be better.      

And then it ended and it took a full decade to recover.     Again just an FYI.

Ron Powers, the biggest exaggerator on the planet. Meanwhile if you look at the Striper Cup weekly catch logs there are very few big fish checked in each week.

Going to agree here. In the 80’s we caught a lot of large and not many smalls.
