So I have 3 penn 50sw's I need to reline. My question is 60 or 80lb test and do I need a top shot or using just mono? I'll be targeting tuna and sharks with these. Thank for the help

IMO, I like topshot over hollow core braid.  The braid will almost outlast you, topshot is easy enough to replace, and doing 100-150 yards is a lot cheaper than a respool.

As well, using 100# Jerry Brown as an example, you have a hell of a lot of line on the spool.  You can now troll for real WWBs if wanted without worrying about getting dumped, and you can still chunk having plenty of mono topshot.

I like the hollow core like Jerry Brown, makes for very simple, nearly seamless splices

KISS, 80 pound mono is cheap enough and you’ll still have enough line, if you know how to run the boat. Knots in braid from tangles with braid can keep you out of the water for a long time.
