Surf rods F/S

34 posts in this topic

Clearing out some unused rods. Pics may not be in order of listings, but, you get the idea.. All will need to be local sales only, not shipping (too expensive, too much hassle..). Socially distanced local meetup around eastern CT/RI. Not in a hurry to sell, just need room for boat rods.. Take them all and I'll give you a good deal.

11' Penn Prevail casting, 2-6oz. Very good condition, $65

11' Tsunami Airwave casting, 4-10oz. Very good condition, $75.

10' Jigging World Shadow, spinning, 1-5oz. Very good condition. $140.

10' Tsunami Trophy II, casting. 2-6oz, very good condition. $75.

10' Daiwa Emblem Pro spinning, 2-6oz, very good condition. $75.

How old are the Tsunami’s? Any dings or scratches?

I have interest in both.

Both bought last season and used sparingly. I can take closer pics when I get home tonight of grips, guides and tips.

What would you say is the sweet spot for lure weight on the jigging world and Daiwa Emblem Pro spinning?

What is the weight of the daiwa?

Shadow is rated a very accurate 1-5oz, but 3-4 is def sweet spot. 5 is pushing it, 2 isn't enough to load.

The Emblem is rated 2-6 but that's a little much. I would say it's more of a 1-4 rod. Lots of backbone but whippy tip.  Unsure of exact weight, but comparable to most 10' two-piece graphite rods.

Cant find any real imperfections. Maybe a little paint chips on a some guide feet from snaps, that's about it. They're in excellent condition. The Airwave was my 8'n'bait rod with a magged Squidder and the Trophy II had a Squall 15, matched perfect. Hope this helps.

I can do $115 picked up for the Shadow. Coming from boston, I have to factor in gas costs. Where in CT/RI are you located?

$120 and it's yours. I'm about an hour from Boston, in Killingly CT. I could meet you somewhere around where 90/290/395 intersect.
